I'm pretty sure when the next ban/unban window opens we'll see some of the changes many were hoping for today. I won't be selling out my collections or anything rash like that. But with regards to online play, I'm going to pull back. Local stores need all the help we can give them. I think that if you are a paper player who wants to finish out RCQ season, or have a great lgs community, that's spectacular. In fact, I think an honest break from modern might be what's best for a lot of us. My old man always said, "A person who walks away can always walk back." But if you can save yourself that walk by just hitting the pause button for a while, then consider it. Its fine to make your voice heard with your feet. But I thought it would be a good idea to see if we could-in the spirit of community-walk some players back from the brink of quitting the format and game altogether. It seems like there's a lot of people who are understandably upset. But after today's announcement (which I did expect to be a "no changes" announcement) I have come to the conclusion that I'm ready to put modern play on a indefinite pause until such a time as the WotC is ready to address the issues the format has. ![]() I love this format, my deck of choice, and want to keep playing 1v1 MTG.
